數位/類比式 (Electromagnetic flow meter) 
Electromagnetic flow meter operates pursuant to Faraday’s, which states that the voltage generated is proportional to the movement of the flowing liquid. When the fluid moves faster, more voltage is generated.   A magnetic field is generated and channeled into the liquid flowing through the pipe, causing a voltage signal to be sensed by electrodes located on the flow tube walls.
 
渦輪式 (Vortex Flow Meter)
A vortex meter applies a natural phenomenon that occurs when a liquid flows around a bluff object. Vortex flow meters operate under the vortex shedding principle, where vortices (or eddies) are shed alternately downstream of the object. The frequency of the vortex shedding is directly proportional to the velocity of the liquid flowing through the meter.  Vortex flow meters are best suited for flow measurements where the introduction of moving parts presents problems. They are available in industrial grade, brass, or all plastic construction. Sensitivity to variations in the process conditions are low and, with no moving parts, relatively low wear compared to other types of flow meters.

熱質式 (Thermal Mass Flow Meter)
A thermal mass flow meter measures the flow rate of gas mass based on the convective heat transfer of a heated surface to the flowing fluid. The components of a basic thermal mass flow meter include two temperature sensors with an electric heater between them. The heater can protrude into the fluid stream or can be external to the pipe.

超音波 ( Ultrasonic Flow Meter)
Ultrasonic flow meters, which are a type of volumetric flow meter, are non-intrusive flow sensors that use acoustic vibrations to measure the flow rate of a liquid. There are two types, Doppler and transit time. Ultrasonic meters are ideal for automated wastewater applications or any dirty liquid which is conductive or water based – but will generally not work with distilled water or drinking water. These flow meters are also ideal for applications where low pressure drop, chemical compatibility, and low maintenance are all requirements.
